Golf Disneyland®: a green oasis for a relaxing game just a stone's throw from the Disney® Parks
Close to the theme parks in an unspoilt countryside setting lies an unexpected Disney surprise: a 27-hole tree-lined golf course with lakes and ponds, the perfect backdrop for a family outing or a team building activity.
Your destination is just a short drive away from the Disney® Hotels. After swinging by the club house to rent your material (with a quick glance over at the bar where you're sure to end up later on), you finally step foot onto the course. The incredible setting and peaceful atmosphere that reigns over this little corner of nature gives you an immediate sense of calm. The sun gleams off the slopped lawn and dances off the water, while new and experienced golfers alike swing their way up the course. Some take refuge under the shade cast by the trees and 4-star hotels with their ideal location on the golf course.
As Benjamin recounted after taking part in our Fun Golf team building activity, a discovery course designed for companies, "The first thing you notice when you get there is this sense of calm and relaxation" "The coach who looked after us on the course was a consummate professional and an exceptional golfer. He gave us specific information about the equipment and was there to help correct our swing. I really liked when he set us little challenges, such as the 1-on-1 'putting' (where you have to get the ball into the hole when positioned a few centimetres away) or the quiz" he recounted enthusiastically.
The laidback atmosphere far from the hustle and bustle of the city is the perfect setting, where a friendly get-together among colleagues is sure to put a smile on everyone's face. It's also no surprise that families looking for a bit of peace and quiet come here for a relaxing walk to wear the kids out, without disturbing the players of course.
Professional golfers have got in on the act too, opting to host September's 2018 Junior Ryder Cup at Golf Disneyland. This tournament (first held in the USA in 1995) shines a light on the next generation of golf stars. It's the perfect chance to come and discover this unique place, the ideal setting for getting away from it all for a day (or more!)
